I believed that Senators, House Representatives, MPs and the like would do right by their respective nations because shame would be as powerful a deterrent as much as the desire to leave an honourable legacy of which to be proud. I could not have been more wrong.

Shame needs to make a comeback and retribution needs to be so harsh that no-one would ever think it worthwhile being so craven & callow ever again. The mother of all shellacking is much needed.
